My Takeaway from the event “Pallete Spark: Unveiling the Hues of Passion and Creativity of GCCCS BSEMC Students”
We 4th-year students organized a film
showing event entitled “Pallete Spark: Unveiling the Hues of Passion and
Creativity of GCCCS BSEMC Students” to showcase our hardwork capstone, our
animated film. There are 5 BSEMC DAT groups, which are SalinGuhit Tales,
Animatoons Productions, Animaya Studio, High Five Animations, and my group,
Tanaw Animation Studios, who show the process of the capstone from research to
animation pipeline. Also, opening a studio booth to exhibit and market our
merchandise at Gordon College Function Hall on November 3, 2025, from 8:00 AM
to 5:00 PM.
This event taught me the importance of planning, from giving roles to budgeting and creating an event outline for a smooth flow of the event. The opening of the booth, for me, is the one major tiring part of the event, as we are not just showing but also selling our merch. For this experience I became more appreciative of the vendors and learned things that we can improve the next time we organize a booth and event.
On a practical level, from organizing the
event, I learned how important coordination and being aware of the surroundings
are for a smooth and successful event. In addition, adding a price label,
service offering visual services, and adding more decoration to our booth are
needed improvements that I will apply for future events.
The things I learned from the event are
something I will hold on to for my future journey. This event is meaningful for
me, as this is our fruit of labor. And I am proud to my classmates for their efforts and work to achieve this successful event. In addition, my biggest takeaway from this event is that everything has a process and will not become easy but is rewarding at the end.
