My Takeaway from the webinar "AI-Powered VA: Future-Proof Your Skills"

The event I attended was “AI-Powered VA: Future-Proof Your Skills” scheduled on September 18, 2025, with Ms. Roselyn Galang as our Resource Speaker. This 4-hour webinar equips participants with fundamental General Virtual Assistant skills and introduces AI tools to enhance efficiency in tasks such as content creation, email management, research, and client communication. By the end of the creation session, participants will gain practical knowledge, an initial AI- powered portfolio, and the confidence to begin their VA career.  


The rise of remote jobs and freelance work where the pandemic takes place. We all know how challenging it was to work on-site when the pandemic happened. All work became work from home. It started to be popular the Virtual assistance and freelancer. In the webinar it talked about the fundamentals and skills, as well as the platform where you can find freelance work to earn. 



They show a ton of different variety where you can start your journey such as work on portfolio, skill building programs and start with small projects. As well as, learning essential tools such as Google space, Canva, Trello etc. It also tackles the freelance advantages, disadvantages and the earning potential, how you can earn more compared to your fixed monthly earnings. Lastly, the adaptation for the new immerse technology like Artificial Intelligence, understanding the use of AI and how it will help us to enhance our task effectively.



From the session, I learned to identify my skills and strengths and enhance my LinkedIn profile with the help of AI. I also gained insights into virtual assistance and freelancing, the skills needed to be an effective freelancer, and the adaptability of AI in our work. My biggest takeaway from this webinar is to start something and let your skills grow naturally as you continue to showcase what you enjoy doing, and the opportunities will follow.

My Takeaway from the webinar entitled “Introduction to IT Acquisition”

The webinar I attended was “Introduction to IT Acquisition,” held on September 3,2025, and facilitated by the Information Technology Development Center (ITDC) with guest speaker Engr. Medel E. Aligan , a GPPB-recognized trainer. The session focused on the legal foundations, procurement strategies, challenges, and sustainable practices in ICT acquisition in the Philippines. The seminar was very informative; I got to learn about Republic Act 12009 and why it is important when creating software or a system. But for me the major takeaway from this seminar is the whole process for planning and the decision-making. Making the process efficient and cost-effective.

My Takeaway from the online course entitled “Introduction to Visual Graphic Design”

The online course I completed was entitled “Introduction to Visual Graphic Design” and was conducted under the TESDA Online Program through the National Institute for Technical Education and Skills Development (NITESD) . The online course focuses on developing skills in creating visual designs using design principles and digital tools while applying quality standards, workplace professionalism, and knowledge of laws relevant to the ICT sector.   There are a lot of courses available under Visual Graphic Design III, but I chose to enroll in "Introduction to Visual Graphic Design" because it will help me the most right now, especially with my program, BSEMC. I am aware of other topics in this course but it's nice to remember and deepen my understanding of the principles and fundamentals.
