My Takeaway from the Industries Exposure Trip: “Snipple Animation Studios”

 


We, the BSEMC 4 DAT batch, visited an animation studio with our faculty members: Sir Nathaniel Regojos, Sir Miguel Macabulos, Sir Loudel Manaloto, and Sir Ronnie Luy, and were accompanied by a nurse. On December 11, we went to Bagumbayan, Quezon City, near Eastwood Mall. Mr. James Arboleda, an employee of Snipple Animation Studio, guided us during the visit. He discussed their animation process and showed us their works and studio. He also showed us the office where animators work, from clean-up to paperless animation.


From the visit I learned the history of the animation studio and the process from pre-prod to production. How they collaborate with the big industry in the US as of the animated series they animated. Showing their office of animators, it’s amazing how many animators they have to create an episode in animation. Mr. James also shares their work and process working on them part-time and full-time, etc. 

My biggest takeaway from the trip was that there is still progress in the animation industry in our country, and we should create more opportunities for Filipino animators or aspiring animators in the future.

My Takeaway from the webinar entitled “Introduction to IT Acquisition”

The webinar I attended was “Introduction to IT Acquisition,” held on September 3,2025, and facilitated by the Information Technology Development Center (ITDC) with guest speaker Engr. Medel E. Aligan , a GPPB-recognized trainer. The session focused on the legal foundations, procurement strategies, challenges, and sustainable practices in ICT acquisition in the Philippines. The seminar was very informative; I got to learn about Republic Act 12009 and why it is important when creating software or a system. But for me the major takeaway from this seminar is the whole process for planning and the decision-making. Making the process efficient and cost-effective.

My Takeaway from the online course entitled “Introduction to Visual Graphic Design”

The online course I completed was entitled “Introduction to Visual Graphic Design” and was conducted under the TESDA Online Program through the National Institute for Technical Education and Skills Development (NITESD) . The online course focuses on developing skills in creating visual designs using design principles and digital tools while applying quality standards, workplace professionalism, and knowledge of laws relevant to the ICT sector.   There are a lot of courses available under Visual Graphic Design III, but I chose to enroll in "Introduction to Visual Graphic Design" because it will help me the most right now, especially with my program, BSEMC. I am aware of other topics in this course but it's nice to remember and deepen my understanding of the principles and fundamentals.
